When all that is done, sleeping and sleeping in, especially on Saturdays.

Also in knowing that my family can live together after death if we will but serve Jesus Christ throughout our lives.

One of the great loves in my life is in visiting and studying the history of the temples of the Church, of which 129 are in operation worldwide, the newest one having been dedicated in Draper, Utah, USA on 20 March 2009. There are nine (9) more under construction at the present time, and another eight (8)in the design phase,that are awaiting groundbreaking. That brings the total to 146 worldwide, to include recently announced temples in Calgary, Alberta; Córdoba, Argentina; the greater Kansas City (Kansas/Missouri) area; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Rome, Italy; and Trujillo, Peru. This is a VERY EXCITING TIME watching the fulfillment of prophecy in these latter days. By far, the BEST web sites for temples are Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and LDS Church Temples.com. Whether a member of the Church or not, you cannot come away from these sites without being uplifted and inspired.

Like I said earlier, another of the things I really enjoy is seeing old friends and making new ones, married and single, as friends can last more than a lifetime - like families, they can last for eternity.

Like most men, I love sports. In the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs rule. Granted, they have had playoff problems, and no, they haven't won a Super Bowl since 1970 (Super Bowl IV), but like a friend of mine told me, a FAN stays with their team through thick and thin. A great baseball tradition can be found with the Toronto Blue Jays. As for college sports, nothing can beat the University of Utah. Their athletic page can be found here and their Alumni Association can be accessed from here as well. Football fans of Brigham Young University who boast of the prowess of their football team fall strangely quiet when basketball season rolls around. And the Runnin' Utes of the University of Utah are consistently in the CNN/USA TODAY Coaches Poll, and are always fun to watch in action each time basketball season rolls around. This is due in large part to a continuation of a tradition of excellence that was started under the superb leadership of now-former coach Rick Majerus.

Being a man of many passions, politics is one I am into in a big way - so much so, I minored in Political Science in college. As one who is actively involved in the political process, I like to keep up on the latest in both Canada and the United States, as what happens in one place can be an indicator as to what might happen in the other.
